Accomplishments 2002–2025
-The Hellenic
Foundation is a Private “Public Benefit” Non-Profit Organization, governed by
private law. It was established in 2002 on the inspiration and will during life,
of the Writer, Theater and Music Critic Perseys Athinaios. Its purpose is to
share Hellenic Civilization, the Human-Centric ideas, concepts and values in
which Hellas and Ecumenical Hellenism conceive Man, in his timeless search and challenge, in
his adventure to truth and light.
--All Projects and actions of the Hellenic Foundation
have "public benefit" purposes, as defined by the Greek LAW 4182/20123 Article 1 paragraph 3: "A Public
Benefit Objective is any National, Religious, Charitable, Educational, Cultural
and generally beneficial purpose for Society in whole or in part."
--All Projects and Actions
both in Greece and internationally in most cases serve more than one of these
purposes in a combined synthesis.
Among its National and Socially Beneficial Goals,
the Foundation pursues Balanced Regional Development and the mitigation of the
Socio-economic elements that make culture "inaccessible". These goals
are also criteria for the choice of location of our projects and Actions.
--The entire mission. And all activities, and Projects of the
Foundation, are of Public Benefit
nature and purpose, and as such they are offered to society ABSOLUTELY
FREE/GRATIS. The Foundation operates without profit motives, and all members of
its Board of Directors serve voluntarily, without financial compensation, but
they are offering (volunteering) themselves to the higher cause of Public Good.
This complies with national and international standards that define the status
of the leadership of Non-Profit Organizations, both ethically and legally, that
requires that Foundation’s leadership should be of people that are prestigious and financially
independent.
--The Hellenic Foundation Is also enriched by
a “Scientific Committee” consisting of University Professors that Lead the
Research and Publications program and the Educational Program of Academic
lectures and Seminars.
--The Endowment, Resources and revenues of
the Foundation that are necessary to deliver its projects and realize its
goals., in addition to those Gifted from the founding fathers, are programs –
Grants – Gifts – Sponsorships and CSR, while the PUBLIC BENEFIT EXPENDITURE
contributes to the overall development of the Country.

11 INTERNATIONAL PROJECTION
OF HELLENISM IN THE ECUMENICAL AND
GLOBAL GREEK DIASPORA – CELEBRATION FOR THE 200 YEARS OF THE GREEK REVOLUTION
1821-2021
The 200 Years since the Greek Revolution
found the world in a “lockdown” due to the pandemic. The Hellenic Foundation, through
its global relations with the International Academic Community and with the
Organizations of the Diaspora, organized a series of Seminars and workshops
through the Online Microsoft Teams system that enables both large participation
and two-way interaction. Speakers at the Conference were Academics –
members of our Scientific Committee and personalities associated with our
Institution. The participation was large, from the USA (New York,
Illinois, Texas, California etc), Australia, England, Egypt
etc.) while the Seminars and Workshops -during the COVID-19 pandemic
“lockdown” -were coordinated online from the Foundation's headquarters that
relocated temporarily to a “Safe Place” in the Peloponnese. The Musical Score
was offered pro bono by our Friend, and in love with Greece like us, Composer
Elias Andriopoulos. The Theme of the Workshops was "1821-2021: THE GREEK
REVOLUTION AS THE BIRTH AND WOMB OF OUR MODERN CULTURAL HERITAGE" ...

Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa
, our synergy with the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and

13 PROMOTING HELLENIC
CREATIVITY AND PRODUCTION BRANDINGF IN GREECE AND INTERNATIONALLY
The Foundation believes in the Hellenic
Creativity and supports it throughout the world with its presence in both Hellenic
and International Fora
14. INNOVATION –
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE HELLENIC FOUNDATION TO THE
DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY AND ITS USE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL
PROMOTION OF GREECE.
The Hellenic Foundation was
endowed with the entrepreneurship of its Founders in America who had since
1999 developed IP Voice technology and had put it into Commercial use ....
Since 2007 the Foundation has invested
in Research and Technology to develop a
"Landscape Camera" , “Made in Greece” with high added value, so as to
substitute imports of high quality cameras and to utilize/support Creativity in Hellas .
Using imported cameras until 2010, the Hellenic
Foundation in order to share with the world the Civilization and Beauty of Greece, had
created a Network of Cameras with a 24/7 live connection. These live connections proved
effective for the purpose of the Foundation ensuring Greece’s live
presence in International Conferences
Both the idea and use were awarded
by the American society Earth Cams
an Organization that projects with its own system a live connection with own
cameras production around the world. ..The Foundation's “Made in
Greece” Landscape Cameras with that award entered the "Pantheon" of
Landscape Cameras where landmarks from all over the world are
projected. A global promotion of Culture from which Greece had been
absent until then.
The network is also a tool
for Regional Development Documented results prove that it promoted the
possibilities for Wind Surfing of a hidden to unknown place in Messenia. The
spot projected , through the Greek Landscape Camera, evolved as a high ranked
important Windsurfing spot, with the information passing through international
media and this place being flooded with quality people who blend peacefully
with the social fabric of the p[lace, as a place of family vacation......
The live presence of Greece through the
network of Cameras of the Hellenic Foundation,
created for this purpose an independent Non-Profit Legal Entity
(EPIMENOUME ELLADA) . The systems were used in official events of the Hellenic
Republic abroad, with the example of the Official event in New York City by the Greek National
Tourism Organization and the Greek Consulate.... where
the event in Manhattan was in the ambiance of being beneath the Acropolis as
the Acropolis was projected live on giant screens with the alternation of its
lighting and the shadows of the trees as the Wind moved them.
The beginning of the formation of a Network
of Landscape
Cameras in the Ports of Greece was the camera
of Piraeus that was placed in the Headquarters of the “”Epirotiki lines” of Andreas Potamianos, the Shipping cruise
legend, who supported the Institution for the whole of Greece....
The system also has Civil
Protection Applications , but also the production
of Videoclips with
multiple uses. Tourism
Promotion...
15 INNOVATION – DIGITAL
TECHNOLOGY – USES IN EDUCATION – EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
The broad purpose of the Hellenic Foundation
is not just the Development of Digital Skills, but the opening of horizons in
the use of information technology, not as a "passive consumption" but
as a tool for Creativity through research, approach of the development of
critical thinking, and finally ability to produce new knowledge.
AUSPICES OF THE REGION OF
FLORINA/AUSPICES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF FLORINA
The Introduction of Informatics in Education,
which was set as a priority by the Ministry of Education for 2023-2027, has
been a challenge for the Hellenic Foundation since 2015 and with the additional criterion
of Regional Development, Seminars
and Workshops were organized
in the Region(s), starting with the border area of Florina Under the auspices
of the Region of Florina (Governor Biros) and the auspices of the Municipality
of Florina...(Mayor John Voskopoulos) .
AUSPICES OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS
In Athens the workshops took place with the
first on April 12, 2016 with the synergy of The Municipality of
Athens
-Cybersecurity In this Sector, the Foundation has as one of
its vice-presidents the retired Major General of the Hellenic Police, Georgios
Papaprodromou. ...who is a specialist in the Field and Criss-crosses the
Country delivering lectures and Conducting Workshops.
16 REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT –
BORDER GREECE
The Academic Integrity and ethics of the
Academics who lead the Hellenic Foundation “calls” for implementing the
Principle of Balanced Regional Development as
a criterion for the choices of
the location of Projects and Activities.
A particular priority is given to remote Regions
at the Borders of Greece : Florina-Evros-Dodecanese-Aegean
Archipelago, having Branches and/or representatives in these places.
The concept of "Development" is
multifactorial. For the Hellenic Foundation criteria, among other things, are
the preservation of the active cultural element of the area, the strengthening
of its ontological status, the participation of citizens in every action as
co-creators and not as "client- consumers", the diffusion/sprawl of
(positive) results to the local and overall society. Anything different from that
is decadence and decline, first social and then economic as a result of money
as the sole criterion of "Investment". The Philosophical and
scientific status of the Governors of
the Foundation define that the ethics of
"development" have a Humancentric character.
FLORINA: the Hellenic Foundation, in addition
to the (above) educational Workshops, co-organized and actively participated in
Development
Conferences, maintains a Branch with a 24/7
presence and Representation, Provides
equipment and heating oil to Schools that are next to the Border and participates in Social life. The
Foundation also honors
National and Local historical ceremonies and Holidays by laying Wreaths by the Board of Directors
or by its representatives in the Region....
FLORINA (at all)
Two Leader programs have been approved by the
Florina Development Agency for implementation by the Foundation. However, the
Pandemic Lockdown annulled their execution . The same happened to cultural
events that were also under the auspices of the Municipality of Florina.
ALEXANDROUPOLIS – SOUFLI – EVROS: The Hellenic
Foundation has completed with its own Resources, (Architectural-Civil
Engineering-Electromechanical plans) for Infrastructures in Tychero, and
Soufli, foreseeing for years the Development of Evros and Alexandroupolis. It
is in active cooperation and relationship with the Municipality of Soufli,
while under the auspices of the Municipality of Soufli, Cultural Events have
been planned.
The Foundation appointed a qualified professional in
Anthia-Aristeino to digitize the region’s valuable photographic and historical
archives of the Spartacus Society, archive of great value because the
communities of the area were created by the exchange of populations in
1922. The digitized Archive is available at both the Spartacus
Association and the Hellenic Foundation and is awaiting its online publication.
The Hellenic Foundation actively participated
(2014)
in a joined campaign together
with the Perseys Athinaios Public Benefit Foundation and Epimenoyme Eliada. The
accomplishments of this campaign were: (a) The Foundation's Museum in Skopelos
was twinned with the Spartacus Museum at Anthia (b) University Research at an
International Level (c) The International Promotion of the Innovation of the
place (also with a landscape camera) (d) Digitization of the Spartacus Archive
with the recruitment of a person. Digitization is complete and pending online
publication in documentation repositories.......
